Their generator technology gives the surgeon the flexibility to consistently choose the type of effect desired with maximum convenience and safety.

Tips

Many surgeons prefer non-stick tips because they cut more smoothly than traditional stainless steel and clean more easily. Health Products Express's Blue Silk electrodes are coated with PTFE, the same non-stick compound used in Teflon®. This allows the electrodes to be easily cleaned with a wet piece of gauze or sponge instead of an abrasive scratch pad. Our rounded edges prevent RF current from concentrating too much energy in one area. All tips less than 3" in length feature ribbed insulation that allows the staff to easily change the tip even under wet conditions.

Pencils

GUAI-AID carries electrosurgical pencils in handswitch, footswitch and rocker switch configurations. We carry two different housingstyles, each designed for surgeons who require the traditional “feel” they are accustomed to. Health Products Express also offers a pencil with the PTFE tip already attached. This increases efficiency as it eliminates waste because non-stick tips no longer need to be pulled separately, and there is no stainless steel tip to be thrown away.

Generators

Bovie generators use dedicated digital hardware instead of general purpose controllers, giving them the fastest tissue feedback of any generator in the industry, of over 5 million times per second; they provide repeatable power regardless of tissue type and require no calibration. Bovie’s digital technology makes controlling the unit very simple for the OR team during any point of the procedure, allowing the surgeon to concentrate on what’s important – the operation and the patient. Bovie generators are designed for use with any general electrosurgical pencils, both bipolar and monopolar, in the market today.
